Jaida Blue is an originals project comprised of well-known Jaida Blue Rock and Soul Review vocalist/lyricist Jorena Faulkner and funk bassist/composer David Hasinfelt, who have joined forces to create a signature blend of edgy rock and soul, with a jazzy blues twist.

Influenced by visionary artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Joe Satriani, and Jimi Hendrix, Hasinfelt brings his eclectic passion for total musical appreciation and more than 30 years of experience to the stage, combining it with the original, award-winning lyrical fusillade and soulful, realistic vocal expressions of Jorena Faulkner to create a deep and introspective fusion of melodic funk, folk, soul and rock. After dedicating more than four years to the collaborative writing and creation of 18 new original songs, Jorena and Dave now have their sights set on the recording industry.

From the fluid bass harmonics of "She Stands Alone" and the liberating anthem of "Free," to the haunting lyrics of "Shades of Blue" and catchy hook of "Lay It Down,"  Jaida Blue's original music speaks to the masses with a profound message of perserverance, hope, and honesty. Jaida Blue is currently scheduled to begin recording  their first demo CD showcasing the band's original sound and heart-felt lyrics in the fall of 2011.
