David Hasinfelt - Composer/Multi-Instrumentalist

David Hasinfelt was born in Las Vegas with music in his veins. Over his more than 30 year career, Dave has played with such names as Mark Kendall and Great White, Mark Slaughter from Capitol recording artist Slaughter, Joe Perry from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Aerosmith, drummer Vinnie Appice from Ronnie James Dio and Black Sabbath, and the legendary Carmine Appice, who has toured and recorded with Rod Stewart, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Vanilla Fudge and Blue Murder.

Dave was instrumental in the West Coast club scene of the '80s and '90s, touring with various recording artists from Los Angeles to Phoenix and back to his hometown of Las Vegas, where he continued to play the local club and casino circuit. He has been honored by Guitar Player Magazine with a Certificate of Meritorious Musicianship from a reader's Soundpage competition, which scored him in the top 50 players nationwide. His extensive knowledge of technique and style has produced a profound and varied love of a wide range of influences to include: R & B, funk, rock, blues and - most notably - jazz fusion.

"Watching David play is like experiencing the love child of Jaco Pastorius and Victor Wooten," says Jaida Blue lead vocalist, Jorena Faulkner. "With a little Flea (from the legendary group, Red Hot Chili Peppers) thrown in for good measure."

Dave relocated to Louisville on the heels of a budding local music industry with a wide variety of opportunities. In 2006, he traveled to Albuquerque to begin work on his first instrumental CD, a compilation of jazz fusion, rock, and melodic bass compositions. Entitled The Final Analysis, the CD laid the foundation for a future full-length recording with six originals featuring himself on four and five string bass, and acoustic, lead and rhythm guitars.

As co-founder of Jaida Blue, Dave has continued to write and compose new material alongside his long-time friend and collaborator, Jaida Blue vocalist/lyricist Jorena Faulkner, in preparation for the upcoming release of the band's first CD. He also gives private bass lessons/instruction through his instrumental tutoring service, Ace of Bass.
