With 100% of the proceeds going to The Center for Courageous Kids, a cost-free camp for seriously ill and disabled children and their families. The Center for Courageous Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. This is a family friendly event.
Louisville — The executive producer of the Den of Sin Internet radio show, Dusty June, recently learned that her son, Griffin, shows all the signs of having Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome. He is happy nine-year-old boy who has never met a stranger. This is a disabling and painful disorder, but instead of wallowing in sorrow, they are fighting back. Torin Hofmann, Griffin's older brother, has decided to help other children in Griffin's name.
"Come out, fight with some pillows, enjoy live music and entertainment, meet some local celebrities, and help us fund this amazing organization (The Center for Courageous Kids)," Den of Sin Executive Producer Dusty June said. "Sound like a plan? It does to us! If you can't make it to Kentucky for the event, host a pillowfight of your own in conjunction with our event.
"We will be constantly updating the event listing as the weeks go by, and will be adding sponsors, bands, musicians, and other attractions and activities," she said. "There will be fun things for the kids to do, great entertainment for the adults, and rampant feathers flying everywhere in the ring of fluffy destruction!"
The event is free to attend, however, if guests want to pillowfight, they are asked to purchase a special pillow for $5. Donations will be accepted throughout the event.
"We will be posting information on how to donate to this amazing cause even if you can not be there, and adding more entertainment weekly," Dusty June said. "So keep informed and look for more information as the event nears."
